Negotiation considers the intimacy and labor of a mad Black queer folk. This lens-based performance ritual is an ongoing study of how Black vernacular choreographies map the social forces that shape workings of power in everyday life. The work is interested in how processing complex affective experiences through movement produces knowledge, and looks at the relationship between body and place, between interior landscapes and environmental realities.
